Built for demanding tree-care and forestry work, this 2026 Hino L6 combines a proven vocational chassis with a heavy-duty SH Truck Bodies 14-foot chipper body. The result is a compact, non-CDL-class truck designed to haul efficiently, maneuver confidently, and stand up to daily jobsite use.

The 22-cubic-yard body measures 14 feet long, 96 inches wide, and 72 inches high. Its heavy-duty construction includes a 10-gauge smooth-steel floor and 10-gauge steel sides, backed by 12-inch-on-center formed crossmembers and 7-inch structural-channel long sills. That substantial structure is made for the repeated impacts and abrasion common in chip hauling, brush work, and forestry applications.

A black rubberized interior coating helps protect the body’s working surface, while integrated sidewall vents support airflow. The body is finished in a white urethane topcoat over primer and includes a full LED lighting package. Rear access is provided by 30-inch barn doors with dual cam latches.

The Hino L6 is powered by a 240-hp Cummins B6.7 diesel engine paired with an Allison 2200 RDS six-speed automatic transmission. Its 5.57 rear axle ratio provides strong loaded startability and practical pulling performance for a chipper trailer. Air brakes, spring suspension, a 10,000-lb front axle, and a 19,000-lb rear axle round out a straightforward, work-ready 4×2 configuration.

With its standard day cab, the truck maintains a compact overall footprint that is well suited to tight residential streets, crowded job sites, and everyday fleet operation. Available locally in Portsmouth, it is supported by East Coast’s parts, service, upfitting resources, and East Coast Advantage loaner program.
